We will focus on your transcripts, essays, teacher recommendations and extracurricular talents for a more holistic evaluation. Championing test-optional practices will allow us to assess applicants’ strengths while promoting equity.

TO ACCURATELY ASSESS YOUR ACADEMIC HISTORY, WE WILL CONTINUE TO REQUIRE SSAT RESULTS FROM STUDENTS WHO RECEIVE WRITTEN EVALUATIONS IN PLACE OF TRADITIONAL GRADES OR ATTEND HOME SCHOOL.
APPLICANTS WHOSE FIRST LANGUAGE IS NOT ENGLISH ARE REQUIRED TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH BY SUBMITTING EITHER THE TOEFL, IELTS, OR DUOLINGO RESULTS.

Register for the SSAT, the ISEE or the TOEFL. Tests are administered in the fall and winter of each year.

Candidates taking the PSAT or SAT between September and January may submit either of those scores in place of SSAT scores.

We believe that the journey matters, character and personal growth are an integral part of the St. George’s experience.
