Campus Tours
Families can explore Chicago City Day School’s 2-acre campus, including its buildings and outdoor learning spaces. To schedule a tour, call the Admissions Office at (773) 327-0900.
Post-Application Tour
If no tour was completed before applying, the Admissions Office will contact families to schedule one.
Parent Meeting
Once an application is submitted, parents will be invited to meet with an administrator to learn more about the school.
Applicant Visit Day
As the final step of the admissions process, applicants attend classes at their current grade level.
Testing Policy: Applicants participate in playgroups (Preschool–Kindergarten) or shadow days (Grades 1–8). Standardized test scores such as ISEE or NWEA MAP are required for Grades 5–8 if available.
Essay Questions: Parent and student essays are requested after submitting the inquiry form. The admissions team will follow up with next steps.
