Student Population: 900 | Primary School (Preschool to Grade 5) – 450 students | Middle School (Grades 6-8) – 200 students | Upper School (Grades 9-12) – 250 students
Average Class Size: Preschool – 12 students | Pre-Kindergarten – 17 students | Kindergarten – 14 students | Grades 1-5 – 16 students | Middle School – 14 students | Upper School – 10 students
Open House and Event Dates: Small group information sessions are held weekly from September through December and last about 60 minutes. Following an information session, attendees may be invited to an in-person tour on select dates between October and December. You can register through the online inquiry form.
Application Deadline: January 5, 2025
Testing Policy: Applicants in DC are required to complete admissions testing in English and math at the Tregaron Campus on select Saturdays in January. Language assessments are required for intermediate/advanced language program applicants. Testing is scheduled through the Admissions Portal. Applicants outside the Washington, DC area have written tests administered by their current school on behalf of WIS.
Essay Questions: Applications require a parent statement, which is available in the application form on Finalsite.
